OUTLINE Educational Aspects— One of the most valuable, easiest, and pleasurable activities you can expose children to is storytelling. Presentation— The workshop participant will gain a wide knowledge of the techniques, types of stories and the "how to" of successful storytelling.
By telling a story, the teller is free to be creative and stay close to the audience. Storytelling is the surest way to develop a rapport and a personal relationship with the listeners.
The workshop will cover the three important aspects of successful storytelling: • Techniques in telling a successful story Participants will learn the importance of body language and voice inflection to make a story "come alive" for children • Types of stories to tell Participants will learn the types of stories which lend themselves best to storytelling • Media used in telling stories Participants
will learn the various ways in which a story can be told.
